How we came to Ridgewood, Queens

Creative Nature NYC came to Ridgewood through the invitation of a small group of mothers who found us online and reached out. They were seeking something slower and more rooted for their children—more time outdoors, more room for creativity, and more space simply to be.

What began as conversations in the park and messages exchanged between neighbors gradually grew into a circle of families who believed in this kind of learning. While our program was originally based in Williamsburg and Greenpoint, Ridgewood welcomed us through trust, word of mouth, and deep community care.

We’ve since fallen in love with its trees, its front-stoop conversations, and the way parents truly show up for one another. Creative Nature NYC is here because this neighborhood made space for it—and because it continues to nurture the kind of childhood we believe in.
